A center for the performing arts opened this past fall in central Mt. Juliet. Unlike any other Mt. Juliet facility, Dynamic Ballroom and Performing Arts (Dynamic) is a full performing arts training school in categories from dance, voice, musical instruments, and theater for ages 5 all the way to senior adults. Our owners/directors, Valerie, Kami, and Mark, are professionals in and passionate about their skill and trade.
Choosing Mt. Juliet as a location is rarely by happenstance. Dynamic chose Mt. Juliet because the Directors of Music, Dance, Voice, and Theater all live here. They are a part of this community and want to offer the people of Mt. Juliet this opportunity. “We love it here, love the people here and we knew there was a huge need for this kind of training in the area.” Before opening this studio, Valerie was running her own vocal studio called Tennessee Vocal Arts, while Kami and Mark were running their own studio as well. They combined into one big performing arts program and brought all their students with us.
If you’re questioning whether or not this service would benefit you, the answer is “Yes!” Their demographic is everyone! Seriously. Dynamic offers groups for kids including a Music and Movement after-school program; groups for kids and teens including voice, dance, acting, and instrumental classes; and adult group dance classes. They also offer private instruction in all areas and for all ages.
Types of private classes include: Ballroom Dance, Voice, Theater, Piano, Keyboard, Violin, Cello, Guitar, Drums, and Marimba, with recitals and concerts almost every 8-10 weeks that are open to the public. Adult Group Dance classes are currently Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7pm. At the end of each week, on Friday night, they have a dance party for adults with a small lesson included – for all levels.
In addition to the variety of performing art classes, you can rent the facilities of Dynamic for special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, dances, church meetings and groups. They have a beautiful 60 ft x 45 ft ballroom floor, a large fully sized kitchen with oven, refrigerator, microwave, and counter space, a 25ft x 30 ft small ballroom floor, and two large handicap accessible bathrooms.
